She was born in 1984 in Istanbul. She completed her undergraduate education at Boğaziçi University and her master’s degree at Middle East Technical University. Her main areas of interest are the right to education of persons with disabilities, the rights of women with disabilities, the rights of children with disabilities, the right to independent living of persons with disabilities, equal recognition of persons with disabilities before the law and refugees with disabilities. She is a board member of the Association of Women with Disabilities and a founding member of the Disabled Children’s Rights Network. Currently, she works as a disability rights coordinator at the Gaziantep-based SENED Association and lectures on disability rights as a part-time lecturer at Boğaziçi University.
