Katarzyna Marzec is a deputy Head of Unit in the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) of the European Commission. Since the beginning of her career in the European Commission in 2006, she has been dealing with various aspects of the EU enlargement policy. This includes the EU-Turkey relations, in particular the implementation of the Ankara Association Agreement, EU-Turkey Customs Union and the accession negotiations. Before her work in the European Commission, Ms Marzec worked in the Polish Ministry of the Treasury, focusing on the management of pre-accession assistance under the PHARE instrument.
