Jarna Petman (LL.D.) is an Associate Professor of International Law at Stockholm, an Adjunct Professor in Helsinki, and a Visiting Professor in Washington and Beijing. In her native Finland, she is one of the founders of the Erik Castrén Institute of International Law. In addition to human rights, she has focused on the laws governing war, cyberwar and new technologies. She has trained judges and prosecutors in Europe, Africa and the Arab world and has been invited to address international decision-makers in arenas such as the UN and the World Bank. She has served as a Commissioner of the International Commission of Jurists since 2013.
