Prof. Dr Hélène Tigroudja is a French public international law scholar working on International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law and International Criminal Law, among other fields. She teaches in Aix-en-Provence (France). Currently serving as an Independent Expert of the United Nations Human Rights Committee, Hélène is the Special Rapporteur in charge of the new communications and interim measures. Her recent publications are The American Convention on Human Rights. A Commentary; New York: OUP, 2022 and Treatise of International Human Rights Law (forthcoming, Cambridge University Press). She also works as an expert for UNESCO on the protection of the safety of journalists and with the EU.
