Born in 1966, Ayça Haykır graduated from the TED Ankara College and the Department of Public Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Middle Eastern Technical University. She has more than 30 years of professional experience, 20 of which spent she spent working for EU Grant and Technical Support Programmes.
She worked as a coordinator and team leader at the Turkish Prime Ministry Project Implementation Unit for five years and as a Programme Manager in the EU Turkish Delegation for three years.
She worked as the Turkey Coordinator at the Technical Assistance to Civil Society in the Western Balkans and Turkey for two years and then worked as the general coordinator of the Civil Society Development Centre for about two years.
She is currently working as the team leader of the Monitoring Compliance with the International Human Rights Framework of the Etkiniz EU Programme.
